Methylene Chloride Solubility in Water

Methylene chloride is freely soluble in most organic solvents, but its solubility in water is relatively low.

Methylene chloride has been the subject of some controversy due to its potential health effects. It can be toxic if not handled properly and exposure to high levels of the solvent can cause dizziness, nausea, and even unconsciousness. However, when used in a controlled manner and with the appropriate safety precautions, methylene chloride can be a valuable tool in many industrial processes.
