MAP Monoammonium Phosphate is the most suitable fertilizer for crop growth. Ammonium phosphate is acidic in soil and may cause adverse effects if it is too close to seeds. It is better than calcium superphosphate and ammonium sulfate in acidic soil, and superior to other fertilizers in alkaline soil. It is not suitable to be mixed with alkaline fertilizer to avoid reducing fertilizer efficiency. If lime is to be used in southern acid soil, it should be applied after several days.
