Refrigerant R134a is commonly used as a substitute for chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) and hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs), which are known to deplete the ozone layer. R134a does not contain chlorine, which makes it an ozone-friendly alternative. |
