Caustic Calcined Magnesite CCM

Caustic calcined magnesite CCM is an off-white powder made from unprocessed magnesite.

1. For the sand, cement, and magnesium board industries, caustic calcined magnesite CCM can be used as a raw material to react with magnesium chloride or magnesium sulfate to produce magnesium oxychloride (MOC) or magnesium oxysulfate (MOS) cement. The content of LOI and MgO will affect the reactivity of magnesium chloride.

2. In the water treatment industry, caustic calcined magnesite CCM is used to remove acidic substances from water.

3. In ceramic production, CCM is used as a filler.

4. In the rubber industry, CCM is used as a filler.

5. In animal husbandry, magnesium oxide is used as a feed additive to supplement magnesium. It is used to prevent hypomagnesemia (grass twitches) and milk fever (caused when calcium content is low) in beef and dairy cows from calving to peak milk production.
