MgO 92%

China MgO 92% is mainly used in feed additives, millstone, flue gas desulfurization, the hydrometallurgy industry, fuel additives, and so on.

1. For feed additives, it is used as an Mg source in calf-milk replacement for the production of white meat. Calf milk replacers are dry powder mixes with the main ingredients: skimmed milk, vegetables, vitamins, minerals, dry fats, and MgO. The application requires a low-dust, low-heavy metal, and extremely low-iron content Caustic Calcined Magnesia product that will be added to the mix to obtain the required Mg content in the final formulation.

2. For flue gas desulfurization, it is an advanced, efficient, and economical desulfurization technology that uses magnesium oxide (MgO) as a raw material and ripens to form magnesium hydroxide (MgOH) 2 as a desulfurizer.

3. In the hydrometallurgy industry, relative purity, closely controlled activity, and particle size can be used to precipitate the hydroxides of metals such as nickel (Ni), cobalt (Co), or uranium (U) from acid leachate solutions of their respective ores. MgO must be able to simultaneously achieve: (a) acceptable metal recovery performance; (b) the highest possible percentage of metal in the precipitate; (c) the minimum MgO/metal ratio; (d) a closely monitored pH range; and (d) low precipitate concentrations of undesirable ore-originating metals.
