Kieserite MgSO4.H2O

Kieserite MgSO4.H2O is a naturally occurring mineral that is chemically known as magnesium sulfate monohydrate (MgSO4·H2O). It is mined from geologic marine deposits and provides a soluble source of both Mg and S for plant nutrition. It is present in the remnants of ancient oceans that were evaporated and are now buried beneath the earth's surface. These mineral resources contain a variety of valuable plant nutrients.

Kieserite MgSO4.H2O contains sulfur and magnesium nutrients. Magnesium is an essential element for plant growth. Sulfur prevents leaves from turning yellow. Southeast Asia and South America are our main markets. Every month, hundreds of containers and bulk vessels are handled at the port. The export quantity of kieserite MgSO4.H2O is nearly 10,000 tons per month.

Water-soluble magnesium fertilizer is suitable for topdressing, while slightly water-soluble magnesium fertilizer is suitable for base fertilizer. The amount of magnesium used is 15–22.5 kg/m2. The effect of topdressing was good at the early stage of crop growth. Spraying a 1% to 2% MgSO4/7H2O solution on the leaf to correct the symptoms of magnesium deficiency is quick but not lasting. It should be sprayed repeatedly.
