Purification Method of Potassium Nitrate

The present invention discloses a purification method for potassium nitrate. Because of its unique properties, use of potassium nitrate products are widely used in a variety of industries.

Comprising the following steps: dissolving 68–78 parts by weight of potassium nitrate solid containing impurities in 32–44 parts by weight of water, heating until the solution boils; Keep the solution boiling, add 5-8 parts by weight of precipitant, and adjust the pH value of the solution to 8–11. Stir and react for 1-3 hours, then let it stand for 0.8–1.5 hours to obtain a potassium nitrate solution through solid-liquid separation. Crystallize and dry the potassium nitrate solution to obtain potassium nitrate crystals. This method can obtain higher-purity potassium nitrate compared to the recrystallization method, resulting in a purity of over 99.5% for potassium nitrate products.
